Pass Glass-Steagall & Shut Down Derivatives
The House of Representatives must restore the Glass-Steagall Amendment (Cantwell/McCain Amendment) to the U.S. Senate passed “financial reform” legislation.
Wall Street assets Barack Hussein Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) did not allow the Glass-Steagall Amendment to be debated before the Senate vote.
The Senate bill now goes to the House to be reconciled. Obama expects to sign the final bill by the 4th of July.
On May 6, 2010 U.S. Senators Maria Cantwell (D-WA) and John McCain (R-AZ) introduced an amendment to the banking and financial reform legislation being debated in the U.S. Senate. The amendment is modeled after the 1933 “Glass-Steagall Act”.
